What is Pre-Authorization

What is Pre-Authorization

PRE-AUTHORIZATION

This is a new feature on our system that allows you to control the charge on your customer’s visa and master card.
This is found when you are processing both email transaction and direct pay transaction.

  1. Charge Now

This is the first pre- authorization option that we have.

Once the card details are filled in by the customer into our system for charging, the card is charged immediately.

2.Authorize-Manual charge.

This is the second Pre-Authorization option that we have.

Once the Card Details are filled in by the customer on our system for charging, the system communicates with the card issuing bank of the customer and the amount charged is withheld by the system.
Then you as the provider will have to log in to the direct pay online account, open the transaction and click on Charge button.
If you want the amount to go back to the customer’s card, then you click on the Cancel button.

3. Authorize - Auto charge.

This is the third Pre-Authorization option that we have.

Once the Card Details are filled in by the customer on our system for charging, the system communicates with the card issuing bank of the customer again and the amount is again withheld by the system.
Then the system will charge the amount based on the Payment time limit that you had set for the customer when sending the email transaction and the Direct Pay transaction.
